Joseph Allen Gradler Jr is a 14-year-old freshman born in Union City on March 9, 2009. He moved away from Union City in second grade and has not left Corry ever since. He has two sisters, Trista and Grace.
When Joseph grows up, he said he wants to be a history teacher. When asked why, Joe said, “It seems like the thing for me, and I love everything it brings.”
Joe plays basketball and track, and he said he might want to try out water polo in the near future. For basketball, Joe is on the ninth grade team and plays the small-forward position. In track, Joe does shot put and discus.
Joe’s favorite song is “Love” by Keyshia Cole. His favorite quote is “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.” -Kevin Durant. Joe’s advice to anyone would be that you can do anything you put your mind to.
Joe’s biggest pet peeve is when others are rude to people for dumb reasons. His dream vacation destination would be the Bahamas. One athlete he looks up to is LeBron James.
When asked what his favorite food was he said, “There are a lot of great foods from all parts of the world, so it’s hard to choose.”
