The Corry Beavers played in their last regular season football game this past Friday. The varsity team traveled to Titusville to face the Rockets. Although fans and players expected a win, it was a close game, but Corry lost with a score of 28-21. They ended the season with a record of 3-6.
Senior wide receiver Rylan Smith caught a 40 yard touchdown pass thrown by junior quarterback Nolan Carey. Overall, Smith had 10 catches. Junior wide receiver Will Allen had three catches for nine yards. Junior running back Mason Savitz carried the defense with 8 total tackles. The Beavers played a good game but couldn’t come out the the win.
On Saturday, the Beavers JV team played on their home turf. This time, they beat Titusville. The score ended being 22-6. Sophomore Lucas Baker threw two touchdowns, both caught by sophomore receiver Blake Cook.
The Beavers made it to the D-10 championship, they are headed to face the Meadville Bulldogs at Edinboro University this Saturday. Corry ended their season ranked number 12 in the Erie area and 415th in the state.
