Kendyl Elizabeth Scouten was born a Gemini on June 7, 2006, making her 17 years old. She is currently a senior at Corry Area High School and is looking forward to continuing her education at college.

For all of her life, Scouten has lived in Corry, PA, but she moved when she was five to the house she currently lives in. Kendyl spends a lot of her free time hanging out with friends, which her favorite thing to do with them is drive around and listen to music. She also enjoys walking her dog and reading. When Kendyl is not busy doing these activities and school work, she is playing softball in the spring, which is a sport she has been doing for nine years. In addition, she has recently gained the title as the Spartansburg Fair Queen, where she has already enjoyed being in parades and representing her community. Scouten has two siblings, Addy and Caiden, who are 16 and 21 years old. 

In the future, Kendyl sees herself attending the University of Pittsburgh majoring in dentistry to become a dental hygienist. After working in that field and saving up enough money, she then plans on going back to school to eventually become a dentist. Kendyl currently works at Dairy Queen as primarily a cook in the kitchen, and she also started working at Family Dentistry this past summer as a dental assistant to gain some experience.

Kendyl’s favorite movie is “Clueless,” and her favorite song is anything from Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” album, who is one of her favorite singers. She actually was able to see Taylor Swift perform in Pittsburgh this past summer when her mom surprised her with tickets. Speaking of going somewhere, Scouten is looking forward to traveling next month where she is staying at her family’s lake house in North Carolina over Thanksgiving break.

Scouten’s favorite emotion is joy, her favorite color is light pink/lavender, and her favorite food is mac and cheese. When asked what her favorite class was, she responded, “Anatomy because I find it very interesting learning about the different structures in the human body and how they work.”

Kendyl’s dream vacation is a trip to Italy, but she would love to travel all across Europe visiting places like The United Kingdom, Germany, and Switzerland.  

To conclude this wonderful interview, Kendyl’s biggest pet peeve is when people chew with their mouth open because the sound grosses her out, and a word of advice that she would give to others is, “Live in the present moment because time goes by in a blink of an eye.”
