This year’s Powder Puff football game took place on Saturday, October 21, at 6 p.m. The football players took over the cheering for the night, while the cheerleaders played a game of flag football.
One team was made up of freshman/juniors and the other was sophomores/seniors. The Powder Puff was hosted by the Corry Cheerleading Boosters. A portion of the proceeds were given to the Lecom Oncology Department, Avery’s Pawsitive Change, and Pink Racks.
Prior to the game, the football players and cheerleaders got to practice with their new roles. The main cheers were taught and the boys caught on pretty quick!
Madison Braswell and Angelica Cressley were on their A game. They were responsible for a majority of the “tackles.”
The teams were pulling each other back and forth on the field. While not many goals were made, the gameplay was very exciting. Our new cheerleaders kept the crowd entertained and support was on a rise.
The senior/sophomore team took the win.
