Corry volleyball ends season 13-1

Going into the game on Thursday, the Corry volleyball team was 13-0 and ready to face off against the Meadville Bulldogs and their D1 Marquette recruit Emma Parks. It was a challenging match up for the Beavers, but they still did well under the circumstances they were in.

The game kicked off with Beavers’ point, which really set the mood for the game. It was a battle for the set with both teams exchanging points. The first set ended 25-23 Meadville. The second set was just as exciting with both teams still going point for point with each other, but eventually Meadville locked in, and the set ended with Meadville 25-17. The last set was still very exciting for the Beavers and the fans in the Dam. From being down by 5 to coming back and being up 23-22 the Beavers’ really put their all into trying to win the set, but eventually they fell short and lost 25-23.

Although it was a tough loss last night, the main focus is on the amazing season the team had. What is really exciting about this 13-1 season is that the team will still be fully together for one more year due to the varsity being juniors, sophomores and a freshman this year.
