Every month there is a boy nominated to be the “Boy of the Month” in Corry who is featured in “The Corry Journal.” The boy is chosen by a committee of  high school staff members and is honored by the Corry Rotary Club. For unforeseen circumstances, the Boy of the Month for April was also announced with the Boy of the Month for May.

The “Boy of the Month” chosen for April was Klay Martin.

I first asked Klay what his initial reaction was, he stated “I thought it was a joke because I didn’t know that I deserve it.”

I then asked Martin why he thinks he was chosen, he said, ” I honestly have no idea why I was picked.”

Klay is a part of the Corry Varsity Track and Field Team.

When I asked Caleb, The “Boy of the Month” for May what his initial reaction was, he said “Well, my initial reaction was I was shocked because I showed up late from an appointment that day and I thought I was getting called down for that.”

I then asked Daniels why he thought he was chosen, to which he responded, “I think I was chosen because of my hard work with school work, baseball, and my jobs.”

Caleb is a part of the National Honors Society and plays first base for the Varsity Baseball team.
