Easter traditions in an eggshell

With Easter comes many different traditions. Each family usually has a few of their own unique traditions, but without a doubt there are some basic and universal customs. Everyone obviously associates Easter with bunnies, eggs, candy, and spring/spring colors.

Now, here are common habits done on Easter. The most common has to be Easter egg hunts, where colored, candy-filled eggs are hidden and children, or anyone, can go search for the eggs. Some people often even hide money in the eggs, or other small little toys.

Another tradition is coloring the eggs. To do this you must boil eggs first. Then you can dip the eggs in colored dye. Most egg-coloring kits include a wax crayon, which people could use to write or draw anything on the shell, which would appear in white after being colored.

A lot of people’s sole focus of Easter is their religion. To the Christian religion, Easter is all about Jesus. Good Friday is the day Jesus died on the cross, and Easter Sunday is the day he has risen out of his grave.

Finally, another very frequent tradition is Easter baskets. Some families just include a few candies in their baskets, while some include gift cards, clothing, toys, etc. Whether or not the baskets contain a ton of contents or just a few things, they still are thoughtful and fun to open! Some families even hide their Easter baskets throughout their homes. They often use the “hot and cold” method, giving hints as to how close or “hot” you are to the surprise.
