Corry Boys Basketball traveled to Titusville on Tuesday for a Region six match up. The Beavers had to win to stay alive in the playoff race, and this was no easy task. In the Beavers last game against Titusville, the Rockets took down Corry on their home court. It was a close game though, with a final score of 64 to 61. Manny Perez was the Rockets lead scorer that game and on the season. So the Beavers would have to stop him to have a better chance.

In the first half of the game, the Beavers didn’t play like they wanted to. Turnovers and fouls riddled the first half. Heading into the locker room, the Rockets had a 33 to 20 lead, and Perez hit a three to start the second half, extending their lead to 16. Then the Beavers started their comeback. Junior Markus Lambert turned on the jets, dropping 25 in the second half for a total of 33 points. Senior Brian Cressley helped shut down Perez, holding him to a 0 point total in the 4th quarter and Overtime. Lambert started the Beavers off on the right foot in OT with a layup, and they didn’t look back. The Beavers would win, ruining the Rockets senior night with a final score of  71 to 64.
