Ava Apthorp is 14 years old and a freshman attending Corry High School. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, and lived in Corry for awhile before moving to Titusville, then back to Corry where she currently resides. When asked what she typically does after school, Apthorp said she always hangs out with friends, also stating that something she’s passionate about is her friends (as well as family).

When it comes to favorites, Apthorp has plenty: her favorite movie is “Coraline,” song is “By Your side” by Rod Wave, and season is summer because she dislikes winter and its her birthday month.

One word she’d use to describe herself would be funny; she entertains herself and those around her. She says her role model would have to be her older sister.

One last thing Apthorp would like to tell her readers is “Take it one day at a time; even if you have a bad day you can always turn it around by being around your friends or distracting yourself; its the perspective you look at it from”.
