Every month there is a Girl of the Month chosen from Corry High. The girl chosen gets to be highlighted in The Corry Journal.  Mrs. Bourgoine, who is in charge of collecting girl nominees has disclosed that the winner is chosen by a committee of high school teachers and is honored by the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

The January Girl Of The Month of 2023 is Morgan Willis. I asked Morgan what her reaction was when she found out she was chosen, she replied with ” I felt very honored and appreciative for being thought of for this opportunity and kinda surprised.”

I then asked Morgan why she believes she was chosen, Willis then said “I feel like I was chosen because I work hard in and outside of school and have good grades and good moral values.”

Willis has been part of the Varsity Football Cheer Squad for all four years of her high school career. Morgan is part of The National Honors Society and will be attending  MVNU for cheerleading this coming fall.
